On 1 July 2020, Germany has taken over the presidency of the Council of the European Union for six months. In view of this upcoming task, the Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP) and the Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) have organized the "German Pre-Presidency Conference – Shaping the Future of Europe” on 25 and 26 June 2020. TRACK has contributed to this event by one panel on "Institutional Reforms in Times of Crisis Management" on 26 June 2020 with:

During the conference, high-level experts from politics and academia have discussed the agenda of the German Council Presidency in innovative virtual formats. The main topics have ranged from the EU's differentiated future after Brexit, migration policy, neighbourhood and enlargement policy and the European Green Deal to the EU as an international player, the European resilience in times of crisis management and the associated economic as well as social policies.
